The Disaster Management Center (DMC) stated that the water levels of Nagalagam Street, Hanwella and Glencoe water levels in the Kelani River have reached the water level due to heavy rainfall in the Kelani and Attanagalla River areas during the past 24 hours.

People living in the Kelani River and adjoining lowlands are advised to keep an eye on the flood situation.

Similarly, the Attanagalu Oya Dunamale water gauge site has also experienced minor flooding. Accordingly, residents in Negombo, Ja-Ela, Katana, Minuwangoda, Gampaha, and Attanagalla areas have been warned to be vigilant.
